Okay... if I were to tell you I wanted my hair cut to about chin length, you'd assume I meant that part of my face beneath my mouth, right?  Because I went in for a 'trim' today, and the stylist somehow interpreted this as 'hack the whole lot off'.

*  Frustratingly, my diet is off track again.  I'm still eating the smaller portions I trained myself to eat, but I get cravings.  I should be able to get things back in gear.  Though I could just be feeling fat because my brother has a scale and I weighed myself while I was over there.  Ugh.

I got my tattoo fixed today, along with a touch-up on another bit that was thinner than the rest of the design.  It took under a minute, and this time, I actually watched him do it.  I also barely felt it, which was nice.  But he did scare me a bit when he was examining my tat and said, "Huh, I've never seen that before."

Wow.  Reassuring.

I tend to stay away from romance novels like the plague. They don’t appeal to me; I need things like ‘plot’ and ‘good characterization’ in my books. Well, I think it's safe to say that Christmas was successful, considering.  We're not a rich family; we'll never be the kind of people who can give extravagent gifts like electronics or furniture or whatever.  Fortunately, I'm used to it, but lately, it bothers me that I can't get my family as much as they deserve, my Dad especially.  I'd love it ( Read more... )
